Success

I'm working on getting better at random blogging....

Overheard today during a church meeting:
"Success has 1000 fathers."

What do you think that means?

Say you made an amazing quilt. Congratulations! But you owe that success to mom, dad, & God for making you; to mom for teaching you to thread a needle; to grandma for instilling a love of sewing; to that art teacher who once showed you how to mix colors and patterns; to your great-aunt for that box of extra material scraps and the staff at the fabric store for helping you find just the right matching pieces; to your grandpa for telling you your early attempts were beautiful; to the authors of a book of unusual quilting patterns; to all those who invented and modified the sewing machine and serger you used; to all those friends and family members who made encouraging comments as you worked for months on the piece. . . and almost a thousand others.
